By: Matt Pinkston - Master Electrician | September 29, 2026 | (Updated June 2026)
Reaching out to an electrician shouldn’t feel complicated.
At Bright Electric, our estimate process is designed to give you clear answers, practical options, and a straightforward path forward without pressure.
Here’s what you can expect when you schedule an electrical estimate with us.
1. Schedule Your Estimate
You can call Bright Electric or book online, whichever is easier for you.
You’ll receive a scheduled appointment time rather than a vague arrival window, so you know when to expect us.
2. We Meet You at the Property
When we arrive, we’ll take the time to understand what you’re trying to accomplish.
Depending on the project, we may:
- Walk through the area
- Ask questions about the project
- Look at the existing electrical system
- Identify what is actually going on
- Listen to what you would like to accomplish
The goal is to understand the project before making recommendations.
3. We Review Your Options
Once we understand the project, we’ll explain what we found and discuss the available options.
We’ll cover:
- How the project can be addressed
- What options are available
- What may make the most sense moving forward
We try to explain everything in clear, straightforward terms rather than overwhelming you with technical language.
4. Your Estimate Is Prepared After the Visit
You are not expected to make a decision while we are standing in your home or business.
After the visit, Bright Electric will prepare your estimate and send it to you so you can review it on your own time.
Our estimates are free and there is no obligation to move forward.
5. Review the Estimate
Once you receive the estimate, you stay in control of the next step.
You can:
- Approve the estimate
- Request changes
- Ask questions
- Decline the work
We want you to have the information you need to make the decision that is right for your project.
6. Approve the Estimate When You’re Ready
If you decide to move forward, the estimate can be approved online.
A simple online approval lets our team know that you are ready to proceed.
7. We Schedule the Work
After the estimate is approved, Bright Electric will contact you to schedule the project.
From there, we’ll coordinate the next steps based on the type of work being performed.
How Long Does an Estimate Appointment Take?
Most estimate visits are fairly straightforward.
Typical appointment times are:
- Simple installations: approximately 10–15 minutes
- Larger projects, such as kitchen remodels or additions: approximately 30 minutes
The amount of time can vary depending on the project, but the goal is to be thorough without taking more of your time than necessary.
Who Will I Meet?
Estimate appointments are handled by an experienced member of the Bright Electric team who will take the time to understand your project and provide a recommendation based on the actual work involved.
Every estimate is tailored to the project rather than being treated as a one-size-fits-all job.
Are Electrical Estimates Really Free?
Yes. Bright Electric’s electrical estimates are free and there is no obligation to proceed with the work.
We provide the estimate so you can understand the scope of the project, review the cost, and decide how you would like to move forward.
